Nicolas Palacios-Prado, PhD, is Director of Technology Development at Morphoceuticals, where he leads cross-disciplinary efforts to translate cutting-edge bioelectric research into novel biotech platforms and therapeutic innovation. With over a decade of experience in the field of bioelectrical intercellular communication, Nicolas has driven numerous research initiatives exploring how bioelectric networks orchestrate cellular behavior and tissue function. Nicolas is recognized for his expertise in electrical synapse plasticity and gap junction channel biophysics. His skills in electrophysiology and fluorescence microscopy have been instrumental to uncovering how bioelectric signaling can be leveraged for health and therapy. He is a recipient of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute International Research Fellowship and the Grass Fellowship at the Marine Biological Laboratory. He holds a PhD in Neuroscience and a MSc in Biomedical Sciences from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, and a BS in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
